One of the stars of hit TV series The Great British Bake Off will be among the chefs demonstrating at Towcester Food Festival in June.
Howard Middleton won over the show’s fans with his engaging personality and quirky sense of humour, and his baking. One of his original creations was a gluten-free passion fruit and coconut sandwich cake which is now featured on the BBC Food website.
Since appearing on Bake Off, Howard has been a regular on the television and has just launched a new book ‘Delicious Gluten-Free Baking’. He will be demonstrating on Sunday afternoon and will also host a book-signing session.
Crispin Slee, founder of the festival, said: “We have a fantastic line up of chefs on our demonstration stage this year. They will all be bringing something different.”
Towcester Food Festival is a celebration of artisan food and drink with more than 100 food and drink stalls, free wine and gin tasting sessions, cookery classes for kids, free chef demonstrations, live music, a family circus and a world street food market.
