Thursday 27 September 2018 brings back live comedy to Towcester Mill after a short summer break – and who’s topping the bill but none other than Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist, Mandy Muden!
Mandy is the only woman ever to combine comedy and magic on the UK comedy circuit. She has appeared on numerous TV programmes including ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ where the judges loved her and gave her a standing ovation, taking her through to the semi-finals; as well as ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me’ and ‘The World’s Greatest Magic'. Her string of mad, disastrous tricks and ridiculous jokes leaves her audience in tears of laughter.
Opening the night will be the award winning Nathan Caton, star of radio and TV, including TV’s Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing’, which had its 3rd series in 2014. He started his comedy career as a 19 year old and immediately started winning awards. He has been called the most exciting young black comic on the circuit and combines his laidback, clear-cut material with his art of cutting down ‘fools’ both in everyday life and the media.
Completing the line-up is ‘Kiwi’ Richard Lindesay with his unique pokerfaced one-liner style.
Compere for the night will be the Mill’s resident favourite, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.
All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought via www.towcestermillbrewery.co.uk. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Freshly cooked wood-fired pizzas will be available on the night too, from The Little Oven of Joy, between 5pm-8pm.
Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It has joined forces with Funhouse Comedy to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
