Send in your nomination for the Northamptonshire Carers Awards 2018Do you know someone who devotes their time to looking after someone in their family without being paid? Do you think they deserve to be recognised for the hard work and support they provide? Or are you a carer who has received support from your GP, school, employer or social care to help you with your caring responsibilities?
If so, then why not show that you recognise their hard work and dedication and nominate them for the Northamptonshire Jane Roebuck Carers Awards. The annual awards ceremony recognises the great work of unpaid carers in the county.
Mark Major, Chief Executive Officer of Northamptonshire Carers, said: “The county’s carers are too often the unsung heroes of the wider story of Northamptonshire’s healthcare. These awards give us all the chance to recognise their dedication, compassion and commitment.
“Carers are all very real people, who do something quite remarkable every day, in situations which last for many years. If you know someone who deserves recognition for the help, support, nurture and compassion that they provide, please nominate them.”
The awards will take place at Barton Hall, Kettering on Wednesday 30th January 2019.
Nominations are open until Friday 4th January 2019 and can be submitted by visiting www.northamptonshire-carers.org/awards.
The full list of categories are:
- Young Carer of the Year 2018 (Under 18)
- Carer of the Year 2018
- Shining Star Award (A special person who goes that extra mile to support carers, such as in education, health, social care, or employment.)

Alternatively, forms can be downloaded, printed off and posted to Jit Parekh, Communication Team, Northamptonshire Carers Award, NHS Midland and Lancashire CSU, St John’s House, 30 East Street, Leicester LE1 6NB.
