Towcester December Farmers Market

The final Towcester Farmers Market for 2018 will be on Friday 14th December 2018, at Richmond Road car park in Towcester, next to Dominos. The market runs from 9am to 1.30pm
We will be welcoming back a meat seller, Morris of Hoggeston, for this particular market, which is great for those wanting quality meat just before Christmas. They supply traditional beef, lamb, and pork, from their family run farm, and will be a great addition to the market, as we have struggled to obtain a regular meat supplier.
We also welcome Calidos Bakery from Newport Pagnell who will be attending the market for the first time, and they will be selling a range of baked goods, and are branching out into selling at local farmers markets.
We expect to have at least 8 stalls this month, and possibly up to 11, which will be one of our biggest markets for a while, but due to a variety of reasons we cannot be certain of exact numbers of stalls at present. We still hope that we can continue the market into the new year, but the downturn in customers, partly due to the previous A5 road works dissuading people from coming to Towcester for a few months, has meant it is becoming less viable to continue running the market, but we will endeavour to keep going for the time being.
The Towcester and District Lions Club, who run the market to raise money for local charities, continue with their aim to provide a the unique selection of products and produce that cannot be purchased in local shops, while supporting local businesses.
