Looking for a night out with a difference? Then why not try Towcester Mill Brewery’s Live Comedy Night on Thursday 28 March 2019?

Celebrating its 20th live comedy night since it joined forces with Funhouse Comedy in 2017, Towcester Mill Brewery has some great acts lined up once again! Topping the bill is Ivan Brackenbury, who has appeared on C4’s ‘8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’. The bungling hospital DJ featured in ‘Hospital People’, a BBC One mockumentary series about the hospital where his radio station is based. One of the most outrageously funny character comics on the circuit, Brackenbury plays inappropriate records dedicated to the patients in his hospital.

Opening the night will be Roger Monkhouse, one of the most experienced acts in the business. His deadpan style and quick wit make him one of the best acts out there, and he is a regular fixture at top venues all over the country, as well as performing extensively throughout the rest of the world.

Completing the line-up is Jewish comedian and wheelchair enthusiast Aaron Simmonds, with his unique perspective on life.

Compere for the night will be the Mill’s resident MC, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy Festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.

All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought via www.towcestermillbrewery.co.uk. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Freshly cooked wood-fired pizzas will be available on the night too, from The Little Oven of Joy, between 5pm-8pm.

The next two comedy nights – for April and May – are also now online and headline Rob Deering, Laura Lexx, Ian D Montfort and Scott Bennett. Book in advance now!

Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It joined forces with Funhouse Comedy in 2017 to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
