At 2pm on Saturday 16th July 2016, the Friends of Towcester Primary School (FOTOPS) will open their annual Summer Fete. This 2 hour long event promises to have a fantastic selection of stalls and an immense array of entertainment including reptile encounters, whatever the weather.
The Bake Off competition will once again be open to anyone and can be entered up until 2.05pm on the day of the Fete. It will be judged at the beginning of the fete and the fabulous entries will then be sold to the crowds.
Also, one of the many highlights of the Fete last year – the stocks! – will be returning for 2016. The school’s head teacher and lots of other teachers have all agreed to be great sports and have people throw wet sponges at them, and maybe for a large donation, a bucket of water!
FOTOPS (a registered charity) solely works to raise money for the school and work very closely with the school to agree on what they should be raising money for. FOTOPS are currently working towards raising £2350 towards new musical instruments such as recorders and xylophones, 30 sets of Numicon, a presenter to do a transition day about Space for all classes and a subscription to a new scheme about well-being for all the pupils. FOTOPS are hoping that the Fete will give them a big boost towards their new target!
