St Loys Pre School is at the heart of the local community and the parish of Lois Weedon, Weston and Plumpton. Full details are on the web site www.stloyspreschool.org.uk.
It is an independent Pre School run by a small team with the facility attached to St Loys Primary School. The children at both the school and at the Pre School are part of the local community. They enjoy the secure environment offered by the facility while being able to access the countryside comfortably, enjoying the large playing field, pre school garden, park and accessing local farms as well as simple access to our local Church which is part of the Astwell Benefice, the Church of St Mary and St Peter. Jenna Cartwright, the designer of the logo attended both the Pre School and the Primary School in her earlier years.
The setting uses play to promote learning as well as social skills. It is modern in its approach but retains a solid base for the children and staff. It is Ofsted registered and receives some of its funding from the Early Years Team at Northamptonshire County Council which operates the Governments "free entitlement" for children of between the ages of three and reception school age at Primary School.
St Loys Pre School, formerly Weedon Lois Playgroup, is an established Pre School, of over 25 years, set in a rural setting, offering registered care with 17 places of children from the age of two years.
The team at St Loys Pre School are committed to a partnership between its families, outside agencies and the local primary school.
