Jack and the Beanstalk – The Pantomime, to be presented by The Paulerspury Players at Paulerspury Village Hall, 20th to 23rd February 2019 - 7:30 pm; Saturday Matinee 2:30 pm.
This will be the 30th Pantomime to be presented by the ‘Players’ since the group began and follows on from its successful 30th Anniversary Variety Show last September.
Jack and the Beanstalk was the first pantomime presented in 1988, but this one will be different. This is an original script written by Alec Wagner and Tracey Lyle-Carter with a traditional plot, and based on the Cornish folk story of Jack the giant killer. Set in a Cornish village the story is full of fun, laughter and slapstick. It features poverty-stricken Dame Trott and her sons Jack and Billy, who can’t pay the rent and have to sell the family cow. Jack is hoodwinked into parting with the cow for some magic beans, which miraculously produce an enormous beanstalk.
Will Jack climb the Beanstalk and find Treasure? Will Dame Trott convince Jack to ask the Baron’s daughter, Jill, out on a date? To find out, join us at Paulerspury Village Hall to enjoy this fun-packed family show.
