Rain Does Not Stop Play For St George In Stoke Bruerne

St George's Day celebrations at The Boat Inn, Stoke Bruerne - it may have been a bit damp.
The Grand Union Canalside pub The Boat Inn at Stoke Bruerne traditionally lets the resident Morris set The Rose and Castle Morris Men host a St George's Day celebration in the car park.
Generally the weather is favourable but despite quite cold temperatures and a steady drizzle the show went on, and as far as the Editor of AboutMyArea/NN12 could see it was business as usual.
On top of the fire escape were some villagers from across the Tove Valley in Alderton who every year celebrate St George's Day at Woodwards Restaurant and look out on the Morris Dancing.
It seemed odd to see Morris Men in their normal regalia standing next to Goretex clad supporters.
Come rain or shine the show must go on and it did.
A few quick snaps in the rain can be seen on TowcesterNews before it got to dark
