At home for the 2nd time this season the game was going to be a wet and muddy affair as we had rain overnight.

The game started in favour for Wellingborough as Towcester gave away a penalty which gave the visiting team the 1st points but it didn't last and 2 minutes later Towcester propTyler Aris scored a try the conversion was missed. Towcester found themselves being shoved around the pitch in the scrums with Wellingboroughs pack having a few more pounds around their waists but this didn't stop the Tows from trying who got the shove on to steal the ball with some quick passing Tows found themselves in Wellingborough's 22 and with some great strength from hooker Fen Gallagher he crossed the line to which would have been Tows 2nd try but the ref decided the ball was held up and with half blown the score was 8-3.

The second half Towcester dominated the play and with some great play from the forwards scrum half Ronnie Speakman got his first try of the season and again Mr G adding 2points. The play between both teams was great to watch and Towcesters outstanding defence kept Borough on the back foot with Towcester threatening to score on several occasions but couldn't get across the line. The 72nd min saw Borough get one of their massive pushes on in the scrum which allowed their backs through to score the last try of the game 15-8 .
Towcester played in some testing conditions and with some great leadership from captain Joe Chambers and Sam Sturley who encouraged and kept the team focused, Man of the Match. Jack Snook.

The Editor of AboutMyArea/NN12 managed a couple of snaps of the game.
