With the weather forecast looking good, everything is in place for making Towcester Mill Brewery’s first ever cycle sportive this bank holiday weekend a great success.
To date over 130 cyclists have signed up for the event, organised by LetsGoVelo, a cycle event management company who organise sportives with breweries around the UK.
There are two distances, the Half Pint (35 miles) and the Full Pint (60 miles) with each rider who takes part receiving a bottle of Towcester Mill’s finest beer at the finish. As well as the beer, refreshments will be available before and after the event.
John Evans, Director of Towcester Mill Brewery, said: “We are all really looking forward to this Sunday and helping to make it a great success. The response from the people of Towcester has been terrific and it’s great to be associated with such an event.”
Toby Fellows, who runs LetsGoVelo, added: “We’ve had a fantastic response which just shows how enthusiastic South Northants is for cycling.
“The number of entries increases the chances of making the Towcester sportive an annual event. Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday – hope to see you there.”
