Silverstone Circuit saw the eleventh running of the Walter Hayes Trophy and provided some of the best racing of the 2011 season.
The Walter Hayes Trophy has become the traditional event to mark the end of the racing season at Silverstone each year and this year was topped off with a bonfire and fireworks display.
All racing fans should get this event in the diary, the action is not only fast paced on the track with many bright young drivers showing their mettle but also the races are run close together, it may be a bit cool out but the racing keeps coming.
The Editor of AboutMyArea/NN12 went along and watched the All Comers Race, FF2000 race and Walter Hayes Trophy Last Chance Race using the National Circuit which is only 1.639 miles long and makes for plenty of action.
