ISS Healthcare recruiting new carers

A WELSH care company is hosting a recruitment day to find new care workers to support its elderly and vulnerable service users (January, 2020).
ISS Healthcare in Cardiff is hosting the event at its offices on Thursday, January 30 from 11am until 3pm.
Neil Griffiths, Regional Manager at ISS Healthcare, which has offices at Springmeadow Business Park, said: “We are looking for new recruits to help make a difference within communities across Cardiff by caring for individuals seeking extra support.
“We’re hosting a recruitment day at our offices at Unit 1, First Floor, Pembroke House, Springmeadow Business Park, Rumney, Cardiff, CF3 2ES on Thursday, January 30 from 11am until 3pm that people are welcome to come along to.
“People can register for the event at https://indeedhi.re/36ncqYW or can turn up on the day. Pre-registering will allow us to notify people of interview slots via phone, email or text.
“Those that attend will be able to find out all about working in the industry and the free training and flexible and supported working environment we provide. Those that join us will be able to train to help to provide quality care for our older service users, enabling them to continue living fulfilling lives in the homes they know and love, or provide flexible, person-centred support at home or in the community for people of all ages with all kinds of physical or learning disabilities or mental health needs.
“We also have positions available in our complex care teams, providing bespoke care, sometimes around the clock, to enable people with complex needs to be supported in their own homes, and our reablement care team, who work with people to re-learn skills and rebuild confidence and independence after suffering illness or injury.
“It is important that people who need extra support are able to remain in their own homes so our carers make sure this happens and assist them with living an independent lifestyle.”
ISS Healthcare provides care support to thousands of people, with services commissioned through authorities in the area or purchased privately by individual service users or their families.
Its aim is to deliver care, which improves the lives of its service users and that treats them, and their families, with respect, dignity and compassion.

Neil added: “We hope lots of people who are interested in a career in care come along. Any parents are more than welcome to bring their little ones along with them should they need to as we’ll have toys to help keep them entertained. Refreshments will also be provided.”
