How to Keep Your Cat's Teeth Healthy

How to Keep Your Cat's Teeth Healthy

At Oscars we believe the answer to keeping your feline friends teeth healthy is to provide them with an excellent quality dry food. Oscar Pet Foods have formulated an innovative complete dry food that your cat's will love to eat, whilst at the same time the crunchy nugget will help to work away any food particles and plaque on their teeth.

You may know that cat's cannot chew or grind their food. Their upper and lower jaws pass over each other and shear food like scissors. When a cat clamps its jaw shut the teeth mesh side by side, so have to tear and crush the food without chewing it.

As a result most dry cat foods present your cat with a problem that's a bit like us trying to eat a chunky bar of chocolate (Dairy Milk) with only our front teeth - worth a try; but difficult to do! If you try the same exercise with a chocolate bar that has holes in it (Aero); this works much better. In this way Oscar Agility food is different; it's been designed with this in mind; we call it the ‘ease of crunch‘.

We created the ‘Agility' ranges to contain lots of air bubbles providing an easy to break nugget. This easy to break nugget provides the all-important crunch and when the nugget makes contact with your cat's teeth and gums it rubs away food particles and plaque from the surface.  The satisfying ‘ease of crunch' that a cat needs from its food as well as the very best ingredients means that cats come back to Oscar Agility time and time again.

Just as your cat needs exercise daily, your feline friend needs the daily challenge of a crunchy dry nugget to help maintain healthy strong teeth throughout its lifetime.  As well as a crunchy nugget, your cat needs regular tooth brushing and veterinary check ups to maintain healthy teeth.
