The route for the Staffordshire leg of the Tour of Britain has been released. On 13th September 2012, the riders will take the A5005 from Trentham through Barlaston before passing through Stone to join the A51 to Sandon, where they will leave it to proceed towards Stafford, which they will bypass round Beaconside.
There's just over two weeks to go until The Tour of Britain, with preparations and excitement ramping up. The Race Manual is now online so you can check out all of the stage ETAs and interactive, zoomable stage maps, available by clicking the 'View Stage Map' under any of the stage pages.
Don't forget to check out Adnam's competition to win VIP Hospitality at Stage One and if you fancy riding the route of one of the stages of The Tour of Britain, there's still time to sign-up for a Tour Ride this September.
More news about participants has also been released: Bradley Wiggins will make the Tour his first ride since winning the Olympics and last year's third placed finisher Jan Barta will lead Team NetApp at The Tour, alongside fellow top ten finisher Leopold Koenig.
