The Horseheath Country Fair is a great day out for the family and a wonderful opportunity to see and try rural sports, crafts and activities, past and present, as well as try and buy locally produced foods.
Main ring attractions include heavy horse, gun dog, falconry and ferret displays. We have a mounted parade from the Thurlow Hunt and visiting packs of beagles, bassetts and harrier hounds will parade on foot. The much loved Cyril the Squirrel will have you in stitches with his Racing Terrier Team and causing the usual chaos!
Spruce up your pooch or test obedience in the Family Dog Show classes from 12 noon.
Pony Showing, Show Jumping and Gyhkanna events will throughout the day from 10am prompt. See Horsedates for schedule and entry form.
The East Anglian Hound Show will attract Foxhounds from around the region to compete in this prestigious event.
For the country pursuits enthusiasts we have a Competition Clay Shoot with 40-Bird Sporting Layout and'High Gun' cash prize as well as a a Terrier & Lurcher Show both commencing at 11am. If you fancy having a go we have fly casting and clay shooting instructors on hand to guide you through the basics.
Breakfast will be served in the Tea Tent from 10am followed by tea and homemade cakes throughout the day. Refreshments will be served throughout the day in the Beer Tent (alcohol from 12noon), hog roast, ice creams, Pimms Stand and plenty of trade stands as well as children's attractions.
Tickets: £6, £3 for under 16 year olds, free for under 5s. Tickets can only be purchased on the day.
