Medieval Graffiti Survey, Clare, 30th October
As a follow-up to our previous medieval graffiti evening, we have arranged with Matthew Champion of the the Norfolk and Suffolk Medieval Graffiti Survey to lead a more in-depth recording session on Thursday, 30th October 2pm-5pm at St Peter's and St Paul's Church, Clare near Sudbury.
We will be completing a full survey of Clare church and Matthew and his team will teach us the various recording and identification methods. It is hoped that by the end of this session we will be fully capable of going out to other churches, in the Stour Valley and elsewhere, to complete further surveys.
There is no charge for this event, but there will be a collection for Clare church's generous hospitality. For those of you who have not been before, St Peter's and St Paul's is located in the heart of Clare, postcode CO10 8NY.
Spaces are limited and are offered on a first-come basis.
