Body found by firefighters after house fire in Clare, near Sudbury

A body has been found following a house fire in Clare this morning, Tuesday 17th February.
 
The Fire Service and Police were called at around 7.50am to reports of a fire at a property in Nethergate Street. The fire was extinguished a short while later and sadly a body was found inside.
 
The body has not yet been formally identified and a fire investigation will now take place.
 
Nethergate Street is currently closed and traffic is being diverted via Ashen and surrounding villages.
