The complete beginner's guide to dyeing with native plants.
Learn how to identify suitable dye plants on a walk around the beautiful Assington Mill valley near Sudbury, gathering materials to use later in the day. Learn the basics of preparing a dye bath and selecting suitable mordants and modifiers.
Dye a selection of samples and larger skeins of wool, (or something you have brought yourself). Use these to make a selection of simple decorative braids in the afternoon.
