Falconry, Assington Mill, Sudbury, Saturday 18 July

This is a one-day course run by Alec Shearer, a falconer who has had a passion for these birds for a lifetime.  Anybody that is interested in, or has a passion for wildlife, countryside and birds of prey, will find this course most rewarding and interesting.  A fun and relaxing day in the company of birds of prey, and like-minded people.

Falconry is the art of supplying meat for the table by using a bird of prey.  This has been going on for some 4000 years plus and was thought to originate in the Far East.

There is so much to learn regarding the management and flying free your chosen bird.  It is an introduction as to whether you would like to just learn more or maybe another step closer in getting your own bird.
