NGS Open Garden at Spencers near Sudbury, 13th September

Romantic C18 walled garden laid out by Lady Anne Spencer, overflowing with blooms following Tom Stuart-Smith’s renovation.

Huge wisteria, armies of Lord Butler delphiniums (‘Rab’ lived at Spencers). Many varieties of roses, spectacular herbaceous borders, vibrant clover lawn, oldest greenhouse in Essex. Parkland with many specimen trees.

Victorian woodland garden. Open Thurs May to Sep 2-5, by arrangement for groups.

Opening for NGS:
Sunday 7 June, Sunday 13 September (2 - 5pm). Admission £5.00, child free. Home-made teas.
