Sudbury Heritage Centre is lookng for more exhibits

Have you got something in your attic or cupboards that throws light on Sudbury's history? It could be something associated with a now defunct industry or shop, an old photograph or perhaps a postcard, letter or diary.

Sudbury Heritage Centre and the Ephemera Archive now have more space following the opening of the Tony Wheeler room and are looking for more exhibits. Museum Trustees will at the Heritage Centre off Gaol Lane on Saturday (10th October, 10am-4pm). We hope that people will look in their attics and scour their garages, sheds and cupboards and offer us anything suitable that that they find,' said Museum Trustee and secretary David Burnett.

On the same day, Museum Trustee Darren Clark  will be on hand to give an informed opinion on curiosities found in local gardens and fields such as pieces of metal, pottery and coins. He is a long-established and reputable metal detectorist.

In the past there have been complaints that the museum is not easy to find. In fact it is part of the Town Hall with the entrance in Gaol Lane through the archway of the old gaol.
