Set in the male enclave of Oxford in the 1950s, Shadowlands is the poignant, humorous and ultimately optimistic story of the unlikely relationship between Oxford academic and author CS Lewis and American poet Joy Davidman. From timid beginnings, their friendship develops into a deep and abiding love which forces Lewis to reconsider his beliefs. In demonstrating the redeeming power of love, Shadowlands will resonate with all of us.This amateur production of “Shadowlands” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
