Holmes & Hills Solicitors in Sudbury will be fundraising for Macmillan at the firm’s 2016 annual charity bike ride.

The local law firm hosts the bike ride annually to raise funds for charity. Last year, Holmes & Hills raised over £8,500 for Cancer Research UK, the firm’s 2015 charity of the year. Over 290 cyclists took part, many of whom have been long term supporters of the event.

Celebrating its 11th year, the 2016 Holmes & Hills Solicitors' annual Charity Bike Ride which starts and finishes in Halstead is confirmed for Sunday 11th September.

Taking place on one special Sunday each September, the Holmes & Hills Charity Bike Ride is one of the largest non-competitive charity cycling events in the Halstead area.

The event is open to anyone including individuals, families and business teams and will take place on Sunday 11th September 2016, starting and finishing at Holmes & Hills Solicitors in Halstead, with three routes to choose from – 11, 26 or 53 miles.

There will be a complimentary after-ride BBQ for those who take part.

The ride follows a scenic route through Essex and Suffolk’s finest countryside. Riders will be cycling through Halstead town centre and into the countryside, with the 53 miles route going along the Suffolk boarder, passing through Belchamp Walter, Clare and Ridgewell before returning to Halstead through Finchingfield and Felsted.

Mark Cornell, Managing Partner of Holmes & Hills Solicitors, who is himself a keen cyclist says: “I am very pleased with how the event is getting bigger every year, it all started small 11 years ago, it just goes to show how the people of Halstead and the region are keen to support good causes. This event promises to be a great day out.”
