FREE GUIDED TOUR OF CLARE PARISH CHURCH AND CLARE PRIORY, 28th July 2016
A free tour guided by volunteers from Clare Ancient House Museum, to 3 of Clare's Grade I listed buildings.
The Priory's ruins include the south wall of a large church, a cloister, and the medieval infirmary now being used as a Roman Catholic church and with a surprising, prize-winning modern extension.
The Parish church is one of the beautiful Suffolk wool churches, also of great size for such a small town. Part of the initiative for free walks and tours in Clare, and also part of Suffolk's Year of Walking.
The car park charge is £2 for more than 1 hour.
