 Ladies' Evening

Great prizes to be won at 2019 Ladies' Evening, 21st May 2019

Ladies' Evenings are one of the great success stories of the horse racing industry, helping to boost attendances for Britain's second most popular spectator sport

The traditional social occasion at the races in Cambridgeshire is on Tuesday, 21st May at Huntingdon Racecourse.

Visitors are encouraged to dress up and take part in the free-to-enter Gravitas Style Awards, sponsored by Gravitas Magazine, for a chance to win some incredible prizes at the Robinson Manufacturing Ladies' Evening. There are Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Group categories.

It's an event when thousands of people join their partners or friends, combining good company, delicious refreshments, and a little flutter on the horses.

All in all, the popular Robinson Manufacturing Ladies' Evening promises to be the most glamorous raceday of the season.

Liam Johnson, General Manager of Huntingdon Racecourse, said:

"Ladies' Evening at Huntingdon Racecourse is a great tradition in Cambridgeshire when thousands of visitors take the chance to dress to impress. There are fantastic prizes to be won by the most fashionable racegoers in the Gravitas Style Awards which are free for everyone to join in."

What the judges are looking for:

It's not just about the outfit, the judges consider the whole package so visitors should make maximum effort and be groomed from hat to heel;

Stand out from the crowd and show creativity in coordinating an outfit but remember it also has to be appropriate for a day at the races;

There is a big emphasis on hats. It doesn't have to be the biggest or fanciest head piece but it should complement the outfit;

Don't forget to show personality; be confident, poised and most importantly have fun.
