Man jailed for possession of extreme pornography
A 29-year-old man from Kesgrave has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison for possession of extreme pornography.
Oliver Lown, of Main Road, appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court this afternoon, Monday 9 February,
Police carried out a warrant at his home in Main Road in December 2013 after receiving information that he may be in possession of videos and images involving bestiality.
A number of items were seized including laptop computers and DVDs and these were sent for analysis. They were found to contain images of extreme pornography and Lown was interviewed by officers in connection with the material found.
He gave a no comment interview to police but after a full investigation by officers, and consultation with CPS, Lown was reported for summons on seven counts of possession of extreme pornography and made his first appearance at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday 15 January.
Today, Monday 9 February, he was sentenced to 24 weeks in custody and will have to sign onto the sex offenders register on his release and forfeit all material seized.
