Man arrested in connection with Mendham horse incident
Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident in Mendham area of the county where a horse was seriously injured and had to be put down.
The incident took place at some point between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday 29 October where a horse had sustained a significant wound to the neck and shoulder whilst it was out of its paddock.
The horse, a female and aged 18 years old, has had to be put to sleep as a result of the wound.
A 34 year old man from the Norwich area was arrested late in the evening on Friday 2 November and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
He was released under investigation pending further enquiries.
