Appeal after cable theft

Police are appealing for information after the theft of a large quantity of electrical cable in Acton, near Sudbury.

The incident took place last night, Tuesday 3 December in a rural location on Acton Lane between Sudbury and Acton. Sometime between 8pm and 11:30pm offenders gained access to two manholes and cut the cabling within before using a vehicle to pull it out to a nearby field and then further cutting it into sections.

Officers are appealing for anybody who may have seen offender/s using power tools, vehicle/s parked on the side of Acton Road or any suspicious activity during the relevant time above to contact police quoting reference 73102/1.
