Tenth Annual Great North Bike Ride

Cyclists are being invited to take part in the tenth annual Great North Bike Ride this summer.
The ride, which will see participants travel from Seahouses to Tynemouth, is scheduled to take place on Sunday 29 August and aims to raise money for the Chris Lucas Trust.
The ride started in 2000 with only half a dozen cyclists taking part but by last year the field had grown to over 2000 participants. In 2009 alone the event managed to raise £100,000.

The Great North Bike Ride starts from Seahouses at approximately 9:00am. You will cycle along the beautiful North Northumberland coastline - a designated area of outstanding natural beauty,
Seahouses is the ideal starting point to explore this magnificent part of England. After cycling an estimated 50 miles along the scenic coastline, you will arrive at Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
Entry Fee is £10 to include Nike T-Shirt, medal and refreshments.
This is a sponsored Charity Bike Ride for The Chris Lucas Trust.
Your entry fee only covers the cost of running the event so please ask family and friends to sponsor you generously to make a real difference to the lives of children and young adults suffering from Cancer.
