- What is it?
The AEGON Pro-Series represents both men's and women's events that are part of the ITF Pro Circuit and ATP Challenger Tours taking place in Britain with prize money ranging from $10k to $75k. There are 20 men's events and 16 women's events in 2010 which all offer world ranking points. This level of competition features many of the worlds up and coming players who often progress to the ATP and WTA tours.

- Who's it for?
The AEGON GB Pro-Series caters for a wide range of players including young British talents to more experienced international stars. This makes it an ideal place for underdogs to make a name for themselves.
- The format?
The tournament consists of a qualifying draw of 32 players with eight progressing to make up part of the main draw of 32 players. The qualifying runs on Sunday and Monday and the main draw takes place between Tuesday and Saturday.
- One's to watch
A whole host of Brits take to the courts in Sunderland this week, with the likes of Tara Moore, Jocelyn Rae and last week's AEGON British Tour (Taunton) winner Anna Fitzpatrick featuring in the top four seeds.
