People interested in having a go at orienteering are being offered the chance to try it out.
Rugby Borough Council, in partnership with the Octavian Droobers Orienteering Club are offering a six-week course at three venues across the Rugby area.
The course - which is just £10 - will start at the Swift Valley Park on Tuesday 13 April and will run from 6pm to 7.30pm.
Other venues that will be visited on the course will include Draycote Water and the Linnell Road open space.
Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are, as you can run, walk or jog the course and progress at your own pace.
It is a great sport for runners, joggers and walkers who want to improve their navigation skills or for anyone who loves the outdoors.
To sign up to the course, contact Chris Bryden, sports and active recreation officer at Rugby Borough Council on (01788) 533721 or email Chris.Bryden@rugby.gov.uk.
