Traditional morris dancers are to perform at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum this month.
On Saturday 5th March, from 11.30am to 3pm, the Little Elborow St venue is to celebrate its exhibition about morris dancing with a fabulous and free family-friendly day of events.
The art gallery will be taken over with traditional English dance from 1pm to 2.30pm when it plays host to morris dance groups Braybrooke Morris and Anker Morris.
And that's not all. Following hot on the heels of London Fashion Week, Warwickshire College art students will be putting on their own mini fashion exhibition in the gallery, inspired by morris costume and folk tales, from 11.30am to 1pm.
Anyone game for a laugh can enjoy dressing up as a morris dancer all day long, and there will be art activities for families available from 11.30am to 12.30pm, and again from 1pm to 3pm.
Councillor Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for Culture, said: "This is certain to be a fun day of events for all the venue's visitors."
The whole day is absolutely free and everyone is welcome. For more information call (01788) 533201 or email email@example.com.
