The Rugby Lions Inaugral Charity Golf Tournament - Thursday 31st May 2012
The Rugby Football Club is pleased to announce that its inaugural Golf Day in aid of Wooden Spoon and the Matt Hampson Foundation will be held at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club on Thursday 31st May 2012.
Teams of four are invited to enter into a Four Ball competition open to players with a handicap of no more than 24.
The cost to enter is £250 per team, which includes a Bacon Roll & Coffee on arrival, ball fitting by Tietlist, 18 holes of Golf and a three-course Prize Presentation Dinner & Auction in the evening. Mens, Ladies and Mixed teams are welcome.
There are ample sponsorship opportunities for companies to support, such as the nearest the pin and longest drive competitions, or you may want to sponsor one of the 18 holes on the Par 71 course.
Places for the day are restricted and demand is expected to be high with some of the greats of rugby, like 2003 World Cup winner Neil Back and all-time Sevens points record holder Ben Gollings scheduled to take part.
Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club is set in deepest Warwickshire between the ancient towns of Warwick, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa and Coventry, and as its name implies, is an old deer park consisting of 225 acres with the beautiful River Avon running through its centre creating a natural golfing hazard on some of its holes.
If you can't make the day in person but would still like to support these two worthy causes this would be greatly appreciated.
