Rugby based award winning wedding photographer - Neil Bowler - shares a collection of images from his latest blog of Laura & Daniel's wedding at the spectacular Dodmoor House venue.
The Blog:
A lovely Dodmoor House Wedding & my last of 2012 for Laura & Daniel.
They had booked what seemed an eternity ago 18 months back and hadn't met me until their big day. I used to work with the father of the bride Dave at the Project Network who recommended my services to Laura.
The day was cold, wet and fairly miserable weather wise, with heavy rain as I drove to meet up with Daniel. The hotel was dark upstairs with very little room, however we made use of what space we had, and used off camera flash to create some simple, yet effective portraits.
Having a short dry spell we managed to use the hotels garden for some further shots outside.
I then joined Laura for her bridal preparations, and what had to be the most relaxed bridal house I have ever experienced with just her mother & sister.
You may notice from all the images I post that my bridal preparation shots always start with the bride dressed, hair in rollers and pre-make up shots I leave out. My aim is always to show a bride at her best on the most important day of her life, not where she's come from as they say.
After the ceremony was over 120+ of their guests arrived at the beautiful Dodmoor House for the wedding reception. I love this venue and can't wait for the weddings there this year.
I really enjoyed covering their day, great couple, and what a party they had in the evening.
