When local nurse Gill Hazelby died at St Ann's Hospice in January 2009 aged just 41, her husband Paul and their teenage sons Ben and Jamie got together with other family members and friends to try and raise £75,000 to help towards refurbishing the hospice's daycare unit where Gill spent many happy times. The fundraising which is on the Just Giving site was called The Dreams, Wishes and Hope Appeal.

Paul and the boys hit their incredible fundraising target recently - and in fact they have so far raised in excess of £81,000 for St Ann's Hospice. The hospice needs to raise £16,000 every single day just to meet day to day running costs.

Paul and the boys were nominated by their friends Jeni Morris and Shirley Rowbotham to appear on the Sky 1 television show Noel's Christmas Presents which airs for the first time this Sunday and will be repeated daily through to Christmas Day.

Brilliant, I am so happy that all the hard work these guys have put in to raising much needed funds at St Ann's Hospice has been recognised. A big "WELL DONE" to the Hazlebys and all the Dreams Wishes & Hopes team.
