Get Kids Fit For Their Sport

Pulse3K is back! For 4 years Pulse3K has been challenging 11-16 year olds to run 3km through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, raise money for charity, and get fit with friends and family. The race takes place on the same day as the famous Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, which sees thousands of runners take to the streets of London on Sunday 7 October 2012. Last year almost 400 young people entered Pulse3K, from 209 schools. This year it'll be bigger and better than ever - could this be the next challenge for kids in your borough?
Places cost just £7 per person and kids can enter as an individual or as part of a school or sports club team. Thanks to SportsAid, there are also some inspirational ambassadors to motivate and guide runners in their training for race day. There are also fun activities for the children to participate in when they complete the 3km - the fun doesn't stop at the finish line!
So, whether the kids are regular runners, aspiring athletes, or just want to take a bold step for a charity they believe in, encourage them to make Pulse3K their next challenge. It's always more fun to run together, and fundraise together too.
Registration closes Friday 14 September. http://www.pulse3k.com/
