Circus Skills Week in Northwood!

Northwood Community Arts have pleasure in welcoming the renowned Albert and Friends Instant Circus (the UK's leading children's circus company) to lead Circus Skills Week @ Northwood for 6 - 12 year olds at the Hall, St John's Church, Hallowell Road. The programme will run from Monday 15 - Friday 19 August, commencing daily at 10.30am until 3.30pm. cost per child aged 6-12 is £70. Circus Skills Week @ Northwood will be a full week of workshops culminating on the final day with a demonstration show by the participants, of newly learned and practiced circus techniques, to an audience of family and friends.
Albert and Friends Instant Circus http://www.albertandfriendsinstantcircus.co.uk/ work to develop the creative potential of young people by practical engagement with circus and theatre arts and has gained worldwide recognition for presenting highly skilled, innovative circus theatre performances and have performed in front of delighted audiences at the Edinburgh Festival for over 15 years. The Company plays host to the annual London International Youth Circus Festival and is the UK's premier youth circus.
It is anticipated that this will be a popular summer activity for the children of Northwood and early booking is recommended.

Northwood Community Arts was established at St John's in 2006 in response to a lack of arts facilities and opportunities in the area. The aim is to run a developing series of activities building to a regular and sustainable programme of events for the whole community.
