Cup final joy for victorious Moseley

Moseley pulled off a shock victory over top of the table Leeds Carnegie to beat the Yorkshire team 23-18 in EDF Cup Final at Twickenham.
Leeds started favourites after their recent promotion to the rugby top flight and pundits, describing Moseley as a side struggling to stay in Division One, clearly rated the Billesley Common-based side as underdogs.
But a Dan Norton try gave Moseley an early lead after just five minutes, to the delight of the many fans who had left Kings Heath and Moseley before breakfast in order to make the trip to Twickenham.
Leeds drew equal but were then stunned by a Moseley breakaway half way through the first period led by full back Andy Binns. Tristan Roberts converted the try and his boot also gave Mose a good start to the second half with a penalty taking the Birmingham side's advantage to 20-6.
Although Leeds made up some ground, Moseley's confidence only grew as the final whistle approached. They held off the Yorkshire onslaught to triumph 23-18 and make it Moseley's first cup victory at Twickenham since 1982.
