Volunteers greening Kings Heath town centre

A group of green-fingered volunteers are spending their Sunday mornings brightening up Kings Heath High Street and the surrounding roads.
The group of about half a dozen have been tackling the large planters around the area and have completed around half of them so far.
There are more planting sessions this Sunday morning (21 Nov) and again on 28 November - and more volunteers are welcome. They meet by the All Saints traffic lights by All Saints Church in the disabled car park at 9am and work until 12.
"If you could bring along a trowel and some green waste bags it would be useful," says volunteer Phil Osman. "We will be providing gloves and hi-viz vests. Afterwards we will retire to a local café or pub for some light refreshment."
