Nature Trail Wychwood Avenue Local Wildlife Site
29th June - 13th July
Come and try the self-guided nature trail. Pick up a leaflet from the box on site and follow the instructions. The trail is designed to be suitable for children and adults and topics include plant identification, estimating the age of trees, and woodland management
The site was designated a local Wildlife Site in 2007 and is an interesting example of wet woodland with open glades bordered by Purnell's brook. It can be muddy after rain and the path may be slightly overgrown in places.
To get there, at the roundabout just before the hill heading up to Knowle, turn off the Warwick road into Wychwood Avenue. After 300m you will see Holland Avenue on your left. The footpath to the site is 130 m after this on your right.
