Nuffield Health Haywards Heath welcomes new Consultant Gynaecologist

Nuffield Health Haywards Heath has welcomed a new Consultant Gynaecologist to the team whose speciality and experience will help to expand the hospital's gynaecology services.
Mr Frank Usifo specialises in minimal access laparoscopic (key hole) and hysteroscopic gynaecological surgery for endometriosis, pelvic pain, menstrual and post-menopausal bleeding disorders. He now offers a weekly clinic on alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays to patients at Nuffield Health. Since completing his specialist training and education with the London deanery five years ago, Mr Usifo has worked as a consultant gynaecologist at hospitals across the UK.
He is keen to extend gynaecological services offered at Nuffield Health by introducing a one-stop clinic for women with menstrual and post-menopausal bleeding problems. This service will provide women with the option of having pelvic ultrasound scan, and if necessary hysteroscopy and removal of polyps on the day.
Mr Usifo, Consultant Gynaecologist, said: "I'm very pleased to have joined the Nuffield Health Hospital. The hospital has great resources and facilities available. By the end of the year I hope to introduce a new service including key hole hysterectomy and uterine fibroid surgery, to complement the existing gynaecological services with the aim of improving the quality of life of women impacted by these common gynaecological problems.
"I'm excited to be part of the growing gynaecology unit and am looking forward to be part of its plans for development."
Mr Usifo is also skilled and experienced in open abdominal and vaginal surgeries for cases that are not suitable for key hole approach, and is an accredited BSCCP colposcopist.
