Jehovah's Witnesses Convention

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone, whatever their religious persuasion, to attend part or all of our forthcoming annual Convention. Jehovah's Witnesses from the Midhurst and Petworth areas will be joining together with thousands from the rest of Sussex, South London, Surrey and Kent for the three day gathering at the Brighton AMEX stadium, along with many of the general public.
The convention will be held from the 15-17 July and is one of 20 being held throughout the UK. The attendance at the AMEX stadium is likley to be around 10,000 based on previous year's attendances. There is no charge and no collections are taken.
What will take place? The theme of this year's convention is "Remain Loyal to Jehovah" and by means of discussions, talks, plays, video presentations and short films we will be encouraged to see how belief in a Creator, in this now very secular and often atheistic world, makes real sense. Our purpose is to help others see the need to examine the Bible and it's message for themselves. In a world that is getting more unstable with each passing year, these conventions, and our weekly meetings at the local Kingdom Hall, help us to appreciate that the Bible and it's refreshing look at our future can be trusted.
From Friday 24 June the local Witnesses in our area will be taking the time to distribute personal invitations to the Convention to all those in Midhurst, Petworth and surrounding villages, joining the many thousands up and down the country who will be doing the same.
Worldwide there are more than 8,000,000 Witnesses in 240 lands. Our well-known preaching work is now supplimented by a comprehensive website, jw.org, that enables people from virtually every spoken language to access the Bible's message in their mother tongue.
We would be happy to welcome you and your family either to the Convention, or to our local Kingdom Hall in Midhurst.
