Jehovah's Witnesses Regional Convention

We warmly invite you to attend this year's Regional Convention this coming weekend. There are many venues up and down the country, and in fact worldwide, with the same program and theme, so many millions will be attending. In Brighton we expect around 8000 in attendance based on last year's figures.
You might wonder why so many would want to attend, when religion in general doesn't seem to appeal as it used to. The reason is simple: we believe that the Bible's message is absolutely unrivalled, and very relevant for today.
The message itself does two things:
1) It has the ability to change people's lives for the better (it helps create solid marriages, makes people more honest, encourages people to become hardworking members of the community, it helps those with addictions break free, it gives a set of moral values by which youths and adults can live by and so forth)
2) It gives us a very real reason to belive that this world is not on a forever-downward spiral; in fact quite the opposite, it shows our Creator will soon bring about huge changes to the way this world is governed, ones that will bring us full circle back to the original paradise recorded in Genesis.
As a group, Jehovah's Witnesses feel very strongly that these beliefs are not mere wishful thinking, but they can be relied upon. The future recorded within the pages of the Bible is just as trustworthy as all the other hundreds of prophecies that were recorded and have already been fulfilled. We invite you to analyse this for yourself; our website (jw.org) discusses these and many other topics relating to the Bible's authenticity.
The three days of the Convention are fascinating, fast moving periods, with live interviews, lively discussions and many video presentations including a feature film about the man Jonah (and the 'whale'). Regarding the Convention itself, there are no collections taken, it is free to enter, and the seats are comfy!
