St Peter's Singers of Leeds return to Fulneck for an August Bank Holiday Monday Concert.
The Leeds based chamber choir will be performing works by Mozart and Haydn at the Moravian Church near Pudsey.
The Summer concert has been something of an annual tradition as the singers have been performing in Fulneck every year since 2007.
In previous years the musical offering has been baroque in nature however this year one might say it is "where baroroque went next!"
The concert program will consist of Mozart's Splendente te, Deus and Ave verum corpus with Haydn's Insanae et vanae curae and Missa in angustiis.
The choir is dirercted by Dr Simon Lindley who has been with the singers since their formation in 1977. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the St Peter's Chamber Orchestra and their leader Mary Huby.
We are very grateful to Rev Michael Newman and to all those at Fulnek Moravian Church for their kind invitation. The free concert begins at 2.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August 2012, and there will be a retiring collection at the end to defray expenses.
