||Published: 9th June 2016 11:51
See the best equine three day eventing action as top riders and horses compete, for many of them the result from the weekend will secure them a place at the Rio Olympics!
As well as the eventing action of dressage, show jumping and cross country, Bramham is renowned for hosting other top-flight equestrian competition. There's the ever-popular British Showjumping classes over the coloured poles including the Wetherby Skips Grand Prix which closes the show on Sunday, plus the Fine & Country Pony Club Mounted Games, the British Equestrian Trade Association Pony Club team showjumping, Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse competitions for four and five year olds plus showing classes for Hunters and eventing young stock.
Alongside the 500 or so horses, there's plenty to see and do for all the family. There's a tented village packed with tradestands selling everything you could ever need, grab a bite from one of the food courts, visit the Food Hall to sample, and purchase, local delicacies plus our Action and Adventure in Yorkshire area complete with a family zone for the little ones.
At Bramham, we like to get the weekend started early so Friday is late night shopping where you can eat, drink, be merry and shop until 8pm! Even better, it's free entry after 4pm.
We welcome four-legged canines to Bramham provided they're on a lead with someone responsible on the other end and they're not left out of the action. The Tailwagger Club are there to encourage you to have a go at agility plus a Fun Dog Show on Sunday. Plus, they'll help you try for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze test. If you want to give Fido a break, the Samsalin Dog Rescue operate a crèche service as well as selling lots of doggie toys and products, with all profits going to the rescue.
Whichever day you choose to visit us - one or all four - you'll never be far from the action. Thursday and Friday are dressage days for the eventing competitions where the horses show their balance, poise and grace. Saturday features show jumping for the CIC sections and all four sections will tackle Ian Stark's cross country challenge with each fence a work of art constructed by David Evans and his team of builders. Our Event Rider Masters champions will be crowned by the end of the day. Sunday is the culmination for the three day eventers with the all-important final showjumping where a single pole rolled could be the difference between agony and ecstasy.
