Doncaster Choral Society Conductor and leading organist Dr Simon Lindley presents a third series of organ concerts in and around Doncaster on Tuesday evenings in August 2013. Each recital commences at 7.30 pm and lasts for approximately one hour without interval.
Admission is free and there are collections at each concert in support of the Millennium Fund of Doncaster Choral Society - a fund which enables the choir to continue the presentation of high quality concerts in Doncaster with professional orchestra and soloists.
Dr Lindley says:
I am delighted to be able to give a further series of concerts in support of the great work undertaken each season by the enthusiastic and committed members of Doncaster Choral Society. The Doncaster Choir is one of the jewels in Yorkshire's musical crown and I am thrilled to be able to work with these wonderful singers on a regular basis in rehearsal and concert. The Society deserves all the support that can be mustered to assist it in its laudable endeavour
TUESDAY 6 AUGUST - WARMSWORTH, ST PETER DN4 0TW

Dr Lindley is one of Britain's most popular concert organists. He gives regular recitals from his home base in Leeds at three significant West Riding venues - Leeds Town Hall, Leeds Minster and the historic Fulneck Moravian Church near Pudsey. Each building houses a fine organ of major significance. There are weekly concerts on Mondays at 1.05 pm at the Town Hall from September through to Easter, and also on Fridays at the Minster the whole year round except during the month of August, when the church's lunch-time presentations - from 12.30 to 1.05 pm each Friday - are replaced by Sunday evening events commencing at 7.45 pm.
