Horton Walking Festival

Guided walks of differing lengths and level of difficulty will be taking place in and around the village of Horton, a small South Gloucestershire village at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment. Most walks will start from Horton Village Hall where there is car parking and facilities. Refreshments serving locally produced food will be available all weekend and there will be displays and stalls. As well as walks, there will be an illustrative talk on Friday evening about trekking in Nepal, Photographic workshops run by professional photographer Rupert Marlow of Bristol by Pixel which will enable you to learn about how to get the best of your camera and enable you to put what you learn into action, there will also be a pub quiz at Horton Social club on Saturday evening. Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust are guiding walks at their local reserve Lower Woods, and on Sunday afternoon there will be a special opening of the National Trust property Horton Court.
