Volunteers from the Towcester foodbank held a collection at Waitrose in Towcester
Volunteers from the Towcester foodbank held a collection at Waitrose in Towcester on 16th March. Waitrose shoppers were asked to buy an additional item for the foodbank as they did their shopping.
The generosity of Waitrose shoppers was evident as a total of 789.7 kg of food was donated.
A huge thank you to all who supported this venture and to the Waitrose staff for their excellent hospitality and support.
The Towcester foodbank has fed 404 people (255 adults, 149 children) since it opened in October 2012.
