The Towcester Tidy Up takes place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of March 2017.
The Towcester Tidy Up sessions organised by Towcester Rotary Club over recent years have been very successful and a lot of people were involved over the various sessions.
Last year we came second in a County-wide competition, run by the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England, as “Litter picking Heroes”.
So if you think you can help and you want to join an award-winning team (Certificate on display in The Library) then please put the following dates in your diary.
Don’t keep it to yourself either, we want to share this good stuff with as many people as possible.
Children are welcome as long as they are supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
The Towcester Tidy Up takes place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of March 2017.
As previously, the weekend will be split into four separate 2 hour (approx) sessions, so that we can make the best use of the equipment that we have available.
Litter pickers, handihoops, bags, gloves, high viz jackets and specialist equipment will all be provided, you just need to dress for the weather.
Everyone who has helped over the previous weekends did a great job and we all had a great deal of satisfaction in making a difference, a very visual difference.
For a while at least Towcester was a lot cleaner and everyone who was involved said that they enjoyed it and would like to get involved again, perhaps if more people come forward next time we can attack even more areas of Towcester.
If you, or an organisation of which you are a member, want to get involved in March please forward your details to me.
